sukkah 12
every year, tulane architecture students collaborrate with tulane hillel to build a sukkah, an open-air structure for the jewish cellebration of sukkot.
in 2020, for the twelfth installation (read: sukkah 12), covid-19 was a design and build concern; occupants need to socially distance, and the building team need to socially distance.
to this end, the structure was made from prefabricated fins, that the millhaus team was responsible for cutting. we also provided material and design consultation, to optimize for fabrication using our resources.
